Compensation Information

Independent of Hyundai’s settlement with the EPA, we have provided a lifetime reimbursement program to cover the additional fuel costs associated with the rating change, plus a 15 percent premium in acknowledgement of the inconvenience to customers. The majority of customers affected by the ratings restatement enrolled in our reimbursement program and are being compensated based on their actual mileage and the fuel costs for the region in which they live.

For the lifetime reimbursement program, if your vehicle qualifies, use the Reimbursement Estimator available here for an estimate of your initial reimbursement amount, which will be based on the model you own, your odometer reading, and the most recent average gas price in your area. In addition, as an acknowledgement of other small costs and the inconvenience this may cause, we will add an extra 15% to your reimbursement amount.  Your actual reimbursement amount may vary. Your reimbursement amount may vary slightly from the Reimbursement Estimator based on your actual odometer reading when you reach the dealership.

Finally, at your convenience, visit your Hyundai dealer who will verify your current odometer reading and we will arrange for a debit card to be sent to you.
